Hi imy,

You're most welcome. In fact, I have visited more than these 2 yoga centers but all are not as expected. They could be cheaper at RM60, RM80, RM110 but only once or twice a week. Even some say unlimited but with only limited classes available. We have to bring our own mat and only Traditional Hatha yoga available. The shops/studios are like my childhood time art learning center. As such, didn't publish the details here.

mYoga is the only one has well equiped and better facilities than YZ (not sure about the teachers). Life Yoga is like a mini YZ but without shower facility.

Will try to publish more when I have time to get more information. Should have some update about upcoming centers at Bukit Jalil...

Hi Yoga Lover

Thanks for the updates but all are too far for me. I live in PJ and work in Kepong. You have any idea whether there are any good yoga centres (reasonable rates) in PJ.

Hi all,
Does anyone know where i can purchase manduka yoga mat?
Hi Kepong member,
Theres a Les Studio ( got the info fr yogajess) in pj and also manasa yoga in SS2.But somehow still cant be compared to YZ, guess so far theres still only one TJ.

I went to try out hatha yoga at mYoga with some of my friends. Unfortunately it turned out quite a bad experience for us. We went on a rainy day, inside the lobby it's unbelievable cold, not to mention the practice room. By end of the practice, when we're at savasana, it's so chilly that I couldn't focus at all. My body kept shivering, no relaxation, no sweat. We decided not to join the club even though the facility is impressive.

Hi Kepong member,

Sorry that I yet to have much information about other studios in PJ and Kepong. Will try to find out more and update whenever is available.

========================
PJ:

However as I know, Les Studio in Klang will be shifted to Taman Megah PJ soon and heard that the ex-YZ teachers, Chrsity and Veron are teaching there. You may try to contact Les directly at 012-3359182for more details.

Beside this, I thought few big fitness centers do have outlets in PJ and how about True Yoga...
========================
Kepong:

As for Kepong, Pumkinhead previously provided some useful information as below but I yet to have time to search for further detail. Hope this may help.

Dear All,

Would appreciate it if someone can update me about Yoga centers operate in Seri Petaling or Bukit Jalil? Many Thanks in advance.

My friends told me that there will be a new yoga center in Sri Petaling. The concept just like YZ. They only absorbs 300 students. The fee is around RM180 for unlimited classes. Also some of the YZ instructors will be teaching there. Heard that this yoga center will open in Oct and will be leading by Gilbert. But I dun true or not.

Hi Anonymous (15 Sep @ 2:56pm),

The OneYoga will be shifted to Bukit Jalil soon as they have bought a block of shoplot there and just started the renovation work. According to them, will start to operate there soon and tentatively target somewhen in Nov.

Besides this, there will be a new Yoga Center (Ojas) to be opened soon in Oct and few ex-YZ teachers will be teaching there. Waiting the details about this new center and will post it here once I received it.

I have check the Myoga timetable. I dun really sastified cos there are only 2-3 intermediate classes a week and not even 1 advance class provided. It is very hard 2 look for parking lot. Also the traffic is heavy there. Frankly, Myoga is not my cup of tea.

Yoga Lover said...

Hi Just,

Me too, unless for weekends early mornings. Upon request, they may consider to offer such a customised package @ RM125 per month for weekends (Sat & Sun) unlimited usage only.

myoga's not too bad actually.

based on personal experience i believe they have a better teaching system compared to yz in terms of ensuring the safety of its members. members are sometimes not aware the danger of going into certain poses when they are not ready, but they insists. all for the wrong reasons of being vain. allow me to be the first to admit...i was in that situation once.

during my trial sessions at myoga, i observed and felt that the instructors there truly emphasizes on safety matters. which is why you don't see many advance or intermediate classes as many members are still neither here nor there in their practise.

am not here to butter up myoga and derail yz instructors but just a personal view point that sometimes, members need to realise their own limits.

i have attended many classes at yz and it is clear that yz members have been 'trained' to sweat, so they attend classes which allows them to sweat as much as possible, power class, hot classes, so on so forth.

no doubt, myoga may have their list of challenges such as temperature issues at studios, parking problems at mid valley and others. however, during my short time there, again, based on observation, they are trying their very best to address issues within their control. and that's very commendable.

so my fellow yogis and yoginis, do give these people a break...it's a service business they are running. these people are all out to serve you. so cut them some slack will ya.

peace, sonic out!

I saw My Fitness (located in Endah Parate) offers FREE Yoga class for trial before sign up to be a member. Wonder how true is it?

Hi,

Frankly speaking, mYoga is really an ideal place as a lot of variety of yoga classes, can also learn dancing, body workout and cycling, good facities including internet surfing, comfortable and etc.

But the location there is quite inconvenient during the weekdays - terrible traffic and hard to get parking. It would be good for those working aroud that area or Tmn Desa members, or house wives and people working flexi hours. For me, it would be good for weekends and must be early morning to secure a parking space, so 'kia su', haha...

Anyway, it is worth to go for a trial class...

"parking hint at myoga"

go to level 4, 5 and 6 of the gardens (not basement) aka. zone l. plenty of parking...all the time regardless of time and day.

;P, sonic out

Hi anonymous (3:20pm 15th sept)
If u hear any more news regarding Gilbert's yoga studio, can u please update us here? thanks.
I ve tried another yoga centre and i must say that the instructors are not as detailed as YZ instructors as they do not explain clearly how to get into poses and also to get out of poses, furthermore I do not sweat as much coz i find it a bit slow and the poses are only held for a very short period of time just when im abt to go deepen into the stretch upon each exhalation the instructor wd ask us to get out of the pose! so in a way its like going for a massage and the masseur doesnt apply enough pressure in his massage, and u find it irritating coz its more like an in between of ur body being touched and tickled rather than being massage and u just cant wait for it to be over haha!.Must say im used to YZ style of teaching and may take me some time to get used to other styles. Will keep looking ard for gd yoga centres with gd instrctors.

Hi anonymous 4.30pm
I have tried 2 classes of Yoga there. I recommend u to try Voon and Mandy's classes. They are very nice and experienced yoga instructors. As I know Mandy taught in YC Puchong and Cheras Plaza b4.Meanwhile Voon is also teaching in One Yoga.
