Dear yogaloft members,
Just received a call from Ms Ellen (in fact she is the PR & Marketing of etsu wellness for beauty product and help in yogaloft setup). She clarified that:
- They have appointed a consultant team for the yogaloft setup project. This consultant team in charged in the design, construction, renovation and webpage design. But there is something happened between etsu well and this consultant team and they have to close the outlet temporary and also the webpage shown blank and they couldn't do anything as this webpage is registered under this consultant and controlled by them.
- Only one of the staff was terminated due to mis-conducted while other teachers and ambassadors were resigned by temselves. All the cheques are cashable and not bounced (I think only the cheque receivers know about this...)
- They are busy calling all the affected members to offer either refund or leave the deposit with them till the yogaloft opening but will offer them a compensation package if choosing this option.
- Initially refund is in term of checque but due to some negative comments in my blog and members' worries, they agree to refund by cash as well now.
- etsu wellness is taking legal action against the consultant team and will engage another new team to continue the setup. But due to the festive season now, believe everyting will be delayed as most of the contractors are busy.
I did ask her to claify this in my blog here to give an assurance and comfort the affected members but she said they don't want to make this issue more complicated. They have called the affected members and ready to refund. Action will be taken.
I found a lot of negative comments and some people trying to put on fire here. I'm not siding yogaloft (otherwise I won't post this issue here and glad that they are willing to refund) but just only concern all my yoga friends' benefits. So, I would say those affected yoga friend better take an immediate action to contact Ms Carine from etsu wellness @ 03-7880 2210 to arrnge for a cash refund since they willing to do so at the moment. If whatever etsu wellness claim is true and you still interested to join them, you can pay them again upon their official opening (when you can see something solid from them).
I would apprerciate those affected members do update us here that whether it is true you manage to get a full refund as Ms Ellen assured me they are doing so but some people keep on saying the members are conned without any refund from etsu wellness. I just hope fairness and truth. Otherwise, those simply accused are te one causing the worries to the affected members.
This is the best we can do at the moment.
p/s: please do offer your helping hands instead of putting on anymore fire to the affected members as we should sympathise to them being caught in this situation again. Hope they can really get a full refund on their hard earn money.

yes, they verbally agreed to refund fully over the phone. I believe yogaloft shall also prepare a written refund policy and email to all the members.
actually our loss is not only limit to the package, the intangible loss i am expriencing is convenience of practice. I had surrender my fitness and other yoga membership to join yogaloft,and i have nowhere to go to practice yoga just for one month, the mental stress encountered won't be understand by a multi-national company.
besides, with this kind of damage even before opening, etsu and yogaloft truly need extra more effort to regain the damage on their brand name, and it's definitely not easy.
i will get the refund and won't join, it's personal decision.

If Lehman Group(with so call assets of more than US600billion) can fail which company caanot fail in this global economic crisis. I have read so much good things about yogaloft in your blog but has always been suspicious after being conned by YZ. Based on my CCM checking on Urban Yoga(data as at 27 Oct 2008), its paid up is only RM2( with an authorised capital of RM100,000). Object of the company stated as bakery! 3 Directors with surname Lim. They may have change as at now. Just be careful with our hard earned money. Yoga is not everything in life. Try new sports or exercise. Try California fitness. RM130 per month for 3 outlets unlimited classes. Paid monthly. It has tougher yoga classes, dancing, body pump, group cycling, swimming pool, sauna & gym. I feel fitter since joining for nearly 2 months.

It is really sad that all this human's acts has caused eveyone lose confidence in yoga. I agree with you that if Lechman Group could fail in this global economy crisis, what other company dare to guarantee. Moreover, we have learnt the bad experience with YZ. So, I always suggest to choose for monthly package, no matter how attractive the long term huge sum packages offered.
Glad to hear that you enjoy your exercise at California Fitness and getting fitter. No matter what is the sports, as long it is good for health, just go for it. I'm also California Fitness member but I thought they only have yearly membership. I signed up early this year before YZ crisis and was given a corporate promo package price by the company. Don't think will renew if have to pay yearly as seldom go there. Diffent needs...

How do you define Yoga itself? What should be my reaction as a yogis? Should I react as a human with human rights or just bluntly because of my love for yoga?
What is a second chance? The same way my last membership with yoga zone or should I learn to be more patient and just be another victim for one more time?
The way yoga loft branded itself, I was excited, expecgting truly a revolutionary in the yoga industry, a state of the art depicting a truly deep sence of yoga with promises that gave hope again to yogis but in the end, they can't even manage themself at the most preliminary of stages, am supposed to continue to trust them? I am in a true dillema, still hoping that they could deliver their promises but how do I expect for more when they can't even start with a bang?
I do understand they were being backed up by an international corporation but yoga is not all about business, yoga is not just about facility, yoga means much more than that, it's about human. Renovations, system and planning are basically static issues, you plan it out, you execute it but human is dynamic. we have needs, we have expectations and we have taste. I seriously have my doubts that when they can't even manage their initial phase, how are they going to meet the needs of the members especially when they project themself to want to be the market leader in the yoga industry?
No offence to the business people behind yoga loft but I myself is a business consultant and personally a general opinion, yoga loft's team needs to first do their homework before running their truly state of the art marketing.

Are you sure of what you had just posted? Did you get the correct name from SSM? How could Etsu Wellness be an international establishment if what you had posted is true? Etsu as branded is a japanese establishment and the requirement for it is that is must be partially or majority owned by Etsu Wellness Japan or its respective owner.
Dear OMG, I strongly urge that you do a proper check with SSM again because the posting that you had produced is very serious! If Etsu Wellness Sdn. Bhd. is indeed a japanese establishment, your posting itself would put you in a spot liable for defamation damages while if what you had put up is indeed the truth, Etsu Wellness Sdn. Bhd. could be subjected to investigation for misleading consumer and violation of business ethics. This is equal to the old chinese proverb of "hanging goat's head but selling dog's meat". Please have concrete evidence on this or else either party that is you or Etsu Wellness Sdn. Bhd. should be expecting a lot of problem with the law!!!!!

My personal opinion would say that yogaloft should have well planned in the first place. They should do more good planning than other new yoga centers as they are a well known company that so concerned about branding. Whatever they have promised or offered to the members shoud be delivered (such as the opening time and free unlimited classes in Dec etc.). Those internal disputes and conflicts between them and the staffs or consultants will still reflect the name of their company and consumers won't considerate on this.
However, I think it is still fine as they didn't reveal anything about the internal conflicts publicly (only I'm too kpc to find out the outcome and they just verbally told me partly over the tele-conversation). At least they did contact all the affected members and given options. If they really refund in cash to all the members today as mentioned by someone here earlier, then I would say they are still professional to act fast and to absorb the losses due to their internal probblem and this not considered conned like what happened to YZ previous where our monies gone to nowhere or already with someone else...
So, the members, please do your part to collect back your refund as arranged by yogaloft no matter how busy you are. Otherwise, you couldn't blame if you regretted later.
Please be fair if yogaloft really can make a full refund. Then, just be patient (instead of continuing bombard them) whether they can really re-open as told. If no, no lose as all are refunded. If yes, do observe till you are really satisfy and confident with the facts shown (instead of uncompleted studios), then just pay and join them. Otherwise, you still have choices else where. Choose the one that most appropriate and suit to your own needs (such as location, fees charge, schedule and etc.), don't just follow the trend which may suit some one but may not suit you.
It is good to share the advantages and discadvantages on each of the yoga centers as this is for the members' interests and also to acknowledge the yoga centers that there is room to improve. Ultimately is a win/win situation. Unless those competitors have no confident in themselves or those culprits are too free want to creat drama will just bad mouthing people's yoga centers. I believe my yoga friends here are all wise yogis could differntiate what are the facts to believe and what are the comments need to find out further to believe.
So sorry for such a long winded comments as don't wish to see anymore bad experince in yoga and wish everyone happy and good health. Live in peace, no war!

in our morale education, we always teach our kids to be punctuala dn on-time, we hand in our homework ojn time, we submit our assignments/ reserach paper on-time, how shall we compare etsu wellness/ yogaloft with the primary school kid and an employee?
I'm have been running my own boutiques for more than 10 years, though i'm closed to my customers, i'll never take advantage for being closed to them and delay the timeline; AND, believe it or not, the Tai Tai will take whatsoever reason given as an excuse, and will never come back to you. ( don't forget Tai Tai's gossip power is as strong as the blog )
Allow me to advice Mr. Jason Bak, you shall never let all these surface to the public, if you have any problems/ misunderstanding with the relevant parties, the only thing that a smart businessman shall do is to settle with the relevant parties, i.e. employees, contractors, consultants.
Your lost in monetary is absolute, it can be easily covered once you business is operating. By surfacing the dirty clothes in your backyard to the public, you it won't benefit your business, as I did a simple study through web search that you own an IT company as well and only at the age of 34, " there's no fire cannot be put out by water", read between the lines and may your yogaloft and etsu wellness succeed in the future.
i'm more concern about zen, dawid, nicole and sean. You won't know how dedicated they are and how helpful they are unless you are already the member in yogaloft.
i almost gave up on yoga classes after puchong YC closed down, yogaloft gave me the second hope ( be frank, me and lan shiang don't really care about the view and the to-and-fro RM 1.60 X 2 ways tol fee ), it's the 'people' that create the 'experience', and as what initially yogaloft promoted, 'it's the experience that counts', i just couldn't believe that this is part of the 'experience'.
i am sorry if someone here still think that my sister and i are fake, it's definitely not funny to fool your ownselves name, and also not funny to fooled by others about your name.
i just sent an sms to all of them, Zen and David's last month pay cheque were stopped by the boss, and guess what, they were the first 2 employees recruited by etsu wellness, Zen planned out all the sales and operations and Dawod arranged all the great gurus to teach. I also clarified with them about the 'consultant' issue, Dawid informed me that in fact, the consultant only doing their part by recommending them candidates and the strategic office, Jason Bak is the one who interviewed, shortlisted and confirmed their employment.
Lan Shiang and me couldn't sleep well for 2 nights and as ans when we thought of the lovely yogaloft team ( ambassadors and gurus ) are gone, we couldn't stop our tears.
Damage is done, but we only have one request:
Mr. Jason Bak, yoga is all about karma, for those already resigned, please settle their outstanding salary; for those you terminated, please settle their outstanding salary and to compensate them acoordingly.
If you are a responsible businessman and hope to be in this yoga world for long, you will know what to do.

Just got an sms from Dawid.
etsu wellness is not releasing the pay cheque to Dawid as the boss, Jason Bak said that Dawid didn't serve one month notice, bear in mind that they are forced and pushed to resign. If Dawid's salary is not supposed to be released, can Mr. Jason Bak let all of us know why you issued the cheque in the morning and stop the cheque in the evening, the only thing happened in between is 'if and only Dawid resigned and the company accepted immediately', else, I'll assist Dawid to relevant authority to get back his salary.
I think the next target is Zen. Zen, be prepared, you can hire a lawyer to sue the company for 'constructive dismissal' which they will end up paying you 12 months salary.

Please check out the package & don't rush into signing up yearly. Hopefully they have month to month basis as you need to bear in mind that recently the National Fatwa had an issue with Muslim & yoga and their studio is owned and run by Ninie & Azmi, so just in case the authority change their lifting of ban again.
I know that currently Azmi is teaching from his apartment and also at Yogababy's condo (as per blog at yinyangyoga.blogspot.com).I can also see from the blog, Felix, Keane,Lila also teach there.
OMG, issue cheques then stop cheques. If I remember clearly, the same trick when "OLD THORN" issue cheques to teachers than stop payment in YZ. Told you all to be cautious when "OLD THORN" is advisor. Old habit die hard. He thinks since its so easy to con last time, why not do it again? and again and again.... but still there are some die hard loyalty, now kena duri tau sakit.

just back from etsuoffice. when i reach there, saw 2 police cars & few police were inside their office. we are not allow to enter the premise. i wait there about 10mins, Ellen came down with one girl & led me to their office.
get back my deposit rm479 in cash. they never ask me to return the mat. Ellen told that the studio is under renovation now & will open in Jan 2009. beside get back the money, they also give me a serum as a free gift from the company.

zen, dawid and nicole were at etsu office at taman SEA just now, the whole building already painted pure-white with no signage ( why painted white? remind me something...) and they actually just wanted to pass a letter of demand of explanation for stopping their pay cheque and also for their unreasonable dismissal, the CSO, Jason Bak was personally there to accept the letter but he didn't want to aknowledge he received the letter (again, why? people are just there to demand an explanation ), then when asked about their last month salary, the CSO, Jason Bak Wah Pew asked them to go to labour office to report and sue them.
Mr. Jason, do you really want to venture into yoga bussiness? if yes, this karma will accmulated throughout your life till you pay it back. As a successful businessman, you should not behave like that, you know?
Anyway, they only wanted to accompany their members to refund the payment, but all of them were stopped and kicked out from the office cause Mr. Jason Bak asked 6 policemen to come ( wow! Zen, Dawid, Nicole, your ratio to armed force is 1:2, see how strong you are! )
Anyway, as Lan Hwa expected, the "good in strategy" Jason Bak Wah Pew sure will use his "strategy" to not to pay their salary.

I was there at etsu wellness office as well. As with the few members who posted their comments, I too got my refund back and a free gift. I saw some of the teachers having meeting with etsu while a few others were outside etsu office 'arguing' with Jason. While I appreciate that etsu gave us back our refund, I can't help wondering who is hiding what. What is the truth that is happening here really? If one teacher is terminated by etsu for misconduct, then what kind of misconduct has he committed? If this is really true, etsu should openly say what has he done. As I know, another teacher is also asked to resign. Why????
And why are those teachers who has not resign/terminated having meeting with etsu? I mean, there seems to be 2 sides now: some teachers against etsu, some still 'for?' etsu.
In these times of uncertainity, I think it's best I keep my cash in my pocket and pratice yoga in the comfort of my own room...

I can understand your frustration towards this so called “Ethan” or “Ethan CKW”, so am I. But just would like to clarify here that someone has misused some other people’s name to create their own drama here.
It is common that people could have the same name but these so called “Ken Lim”, “Ethan”, “Ethan CKW” and “Ethan Wife” are not those ex-YZ teachers but they claimed like they are… So, please do reconsider the comments given by them earlier.
In fact, I have removed and also filtered some new comments sent in by them midnight and this morning. All are nonsense and non-yoga related comments but trying to create anger on the yoga friends here. So, please don’t be caught in their tricks. If we get anger to these teachers and their fans came out to protect, then war will be started started, it means they have achieved their goal to get their drama on. So, we must be cool…
At one time I got really pissed off this midnight as I was so tired and they non-stop attacking and some other genuine bloggers start blaming and upset. I have no choice to put all comments on moderation mode. Woke up early this morning and attended a yoga class (as stop practising for the past 2 weeks). Calm down and start cleaning now. Feel much more better now… ^_^

I would like update all of you about the development of the 'yogaloft incident'.
A police officer called me at 12.24pm to go to police station Kelana Jaya to assist on investigation because the Chief Strategic Officer of etsu wellness sdn bhd, Mr. Jason Bak Wah Pew （麦华彪）reported to the police that I 'threatened' him by mentioning wanted to destroy his BMW 645i and wanted to splash red paint to his shop.
Actually, I was staying with my friend in KL as I was the one actually threatened by Mr. Jaon Bak Wah Pew a day before while Dawid, Nicole and me were at etsu office to pass a letter of demand for explanation while members were there to get back their refund. Some of the members can witness that we are all the while behaved ourselves well but Mr. Jason Bak was the one who attempting to create chaos.
Firstly, with the assistance of our friend to record down everything, you can see he was trying few times to snatched the camera from my friend ( also the consultant ), as my friend was trying to struggle not to let him get the camera, he even injured and hurt my friend's hand.
After the police incident, while we were about to leave the office with disaapointment, ( as we truly don't understand why Mr. Jasin Bak, as a big boss of etsu wellness sdn bhd, JA beauty sdn bhd and also eisentech resources sdn bhd with more than 28 million revenue yearly, dare not to acknowledge the receipts of our letter of demand. The only reason I can think of is he doesnt this document to be presented in from of the judge ) he came out and warned me that, "if someone is raped and murder, there must be a reason, you better be careful!"
I was scared and don't know what to do as he has my letter of appointment and residential address, I have no where to go,I then stayed with my friend yesterday and didn't sleep for the whole night. After disucssion with my friend, we decided to lodge the report together at Dang Wangi police station, my friend also went to General Hospital for check up. Then went to Police Station Kelana Jaya, we already told what happened to the police and hope everything will be ok.
Mr. Jason Bak, I know that you are a rich man with luxury car and nice house at Kiara Hills, we are just employees that worked so hard for you to set up your yogaloft@the lake, we just don't understand the reason you treated your employees like this, you paid the salary to everyone except Dawid and I by not giving any reason. And now, I know that you are finding ways to nail us down, we know we can't compare with your wealth, but we just know that, as long as we follow the truth, we will fight till the last breathe.

The 'threat' that Jason told you is severe, you have to take it seriously and make sure you protect yourself well. If the so-called 'trick' is backed up by TJ, then it's a right thing to do by lodging a police report. If you can have any solid evidence about him threatening you, you can actually apply for injunction/ protection from court.
Do let us know what we can help, even though I don't really know you, as long as I can see your sincerity, I will try my best to help.

Understand your frustration on this personal attack. Me too, equally frustrated as here is actually for yoga sharing and not a stage for war.
In fact, I'm working on it and have filtered all the attacks and nonsense emails these few days since Fri's midnight.
I was in a dilemma when I read about Zen's comment (7th Dec @ 12:52pm). If I release it, believe more comments could come in on this matter and a war could be started again. But, I kept on reading the comment few times and found that it is serious and if whatever Zen said is the truth, then feel sorry to her if not letting her to express here. At last, decided to publish her comment.
My gut feel is right. The minute I let go her comment and just removed the moderation mode for while (as received a long conversation call for some personal works), all the reaction came in. Tired to filter but seems has no choice but till everything is back in tune.

In fact, I don't wish to publish any negative qi here as all these YZ and yogaloft crisis have already demoralized the yoga practitioners and caused them lose confidence in yoga. All these were in fact caused by the human's act and nothing to do with yoga but it will still have indirect impact. SAD…
As I told Ramuna that I was in a dilemma to release your comment. But found it is serious if your personal life and safety is being threatened. You should take necessary action to make sure you are being protected and safe.

I kept on reading your comments few times and I still not understand few things:
- As the Chief Strategic Officer of etsu wellness Sdn Bhd, Mr. Jason should know the seriousness by lodging a false police report by accusing you. He should also know well the consequences by threatening you. These acts not only could jeopardize the image of etsu wellness after the yogaloft’s incident, he would also get himself into trouble as well. (First doubt: So, why he did that?)
- etsu wellness being responsible on their internal problems with the appointed consultant, teachers and contractor, they reacted fast and got the matter solved within a week. All the members are allowed to opt for full refund in cash. Although this full refund couldn’t reimburse the members’ intangible loss such as mentally stress, at least they didn’t con members’ monies and made the members relief from further worries. Unlike YZ, never got the problems solved in months while members trusted YZ & TJ so much and were patiently waiting for it… (Second doubt: etsu wellnes is not that irresponsible…)
- As per your comment, they paid the salaries to everyone except you and Dawid. (Third doubt: If they refuse to pay and playing trick, they should hold all the employees’ salaries like YZ. Why they paid all except both of you?)
I’m not here to query or doubt your comment neiter siding etsu wellness/yogaloft. But just would like to See, Watch, Observe, Analyse, then only Decide (I like this quote from TJ, only the quote and not siding him). Too many conflicts on the comments and each party told different story - “公说公有理，婆说婆有理” (not good in Chinese and hope don’t quote wrongly).
We really don’t know what was actually has been happened in between both parties. So, as a third party, we are not in the position to comment or side anybody (to be fair). We just want yoga, so hope no further complication in yoga.
I personally very sympathy to you and Dawid that couldn’t get your salaries again after the YZ’s incident and got involved in the conflicts with the company. I sincerely wish both of you could get a complete justice soonest possible and have happy life.

So sorry that I couldn't tell which is the trusted yoga center to join.
YogaZone was previously such a large organisation could con members and all our monies' gone, some still suffer in servicing the installment scheme with the banks.
yogaloft being backup by international company etsu wellness could have internal problem and cuased to hold on the opening of first yogaloft studio...
So, which one can be 100% trusted! I think no one dare to answer...
My personal opinion: As long you find the yoga center is fully setup and fit to your needs (in term of location, schedule, fee, teachers and etc), then it should be fine to join for your yoga practice. But, better to pay only monthly fee no matter how good the offer for any longer term package (sorry to all the yoga centers and hope no offence as all the practitioners really sad with all these bad experiences). Only consider slightly longer term package later when you really comfortable and confident to the yoga center you attach to, but try not longer than 3-month first as no one could predict what will happen, especially the economic crisis now.
No matter what bad experience it is, these were all due to human act. Nothing wrong with yoga. If you like yoga and experience its benefit to you, then don't ever give up easily, continue it.
I really wish I could have the opportunity or capital to open yoga cneters for my yoga friends, but I know my limited capability. So, the only thing I can do is to gather all our good yoga spirit to rebuild the yoga world in Malaysia.

Without doubt,there's still no one to take the place of TJ as yet in setting up yoga empire.
Jason Bak made his first attempt,failed miserably in his very first outlet, already giving a bad and negative image among yogis and this is even before the yoga ctr is officially opened.What a pity!

This is my declaration as not being a tool of TJ, those who hate TJ till now, remember, you still have the hatred feeling in someone means you can't let go, if you are talking about letting go, then both parties should let go, FYI, TJ is doing his own work now which I can assure you that has nothing to do with yoga. Initially you all also said that yogaloft belonged to TJ, so, what's the situation now? Ruining a person is easy expecially when you do it collectively, no matter how no matter what, when I saw all the evidence that some of the so-called senior managers have done, it's truly an eye-opener to me, he owns 90% share and he built it from scratch, do you think you will kill your own baby 'just like that'?
I appreciate his effort and also given me a chance to be a consultant at Damas then the yoga teacher in the teaching team, without him, there won't be YZ and yoga may not be as popular as now. During the sunny days, all with due repsect to him; during the rainy days, all with 'you die your problem' attitude. Be very frank, I was persuaded by some of the female senior teachers ( not to mention name here, don't want to start any war anymore ) to join them to Michael Chong office to accuse TJ, but I choose not to, I choose not to even be with them, I can tell you when I told her I won't be in their gang, I was even scolded by her, and even last time Cheras Club Manager, Lilian faced the same anger from her and scolding by when at the high court too. Then when receivers came in only i know that she was the very first one trying to get Cheras outlet but unsuccessful.
I will always appreciate someone's effor more than condemning someone's fault, TJ mentioned to me recently that life is a 'report card', but the only thing people will argue, from friends become enemies, from lovers becomes strangers, from colleagues become competitors is always 'the incident happened right before' they split. I totally agree with this and I don't prepare to change my thinking.
I know if I follow you all and be against TJ, I can get an offer as yoga teacher easily and won't be at this situation, but I won't betray my believe and I won't betray that one who brought me up, simply I don't want to have those sleepless nights if I know that some thing I have done that I'm doing harm to others.
you can have your choice and you can have your thinking and I don't plan to change your thinking; I am not too smart but good enough to see, watch, observe, analyse and decide.

I could see that one side is being very aggressive in posting comments here. Just recalled that "someone" posted a comment b4 and said be careful of the cheque, as the other party like to stop cheque bla bla bla, and the fact is obvious now. Sometimes i wonder what's their intention of posting those comments. Seems like this "someone" is trying to make things into a big hoo-ha, or for the sick of taking revenge?

i saw MR Jason, i heard what he said to zen , nicole, dawid...
he spoke in cantonese:
when they want to pass him the letter,he said
-" 做咩事，你们又来做咩事，别搞事啊!"
-"交咩信给我，拿来啊！签收？咩签收，我现在就收了啊！不用签收！"
he dont want to sign any acknowledgement to them, im really wondering of this...
and then, zen ask him to sign after he receive their letter, he said:
-”你这个泼妇，别在这里讲这么多！"
when they want to accompany their members go inside to etsu, he said:
-”出去出去出去，你们不是这里的 staff，出去，你们这几个白老鼠啊！”
and then he was talking a lot, with no manner.
these were what i heard from him on 5 Dec,

MR Jason, i am yogaloft member, you dindt notice that, when your etsu staff brought me to collect my money, i think you only realise i am member.

i know zen, dawid and marcus from the consultancy firm, i saw them work days and nights to build from scratch, be fair to them, they have done theirn part, there's no reason to hold back their payment. you may not understand the frustration only if you had experienced it.

1. first doubt: why does he do so?
- the rich people always think that money can buy everything, and they may always think that if they have money, everything can be solved. my the other half did advice me not to fight with the rich one as we belong to the opposite category, and he even wanted to pay me back the salary and not to involved in this case again. however, i have my own principles, the one who owe our salary shall pay me back what he owe, not my the other half. yes, we are poor, but we are truthful to ourselves.
2. Second doubt: etsu wellnes is not that irresponsible…)
- we were the one who demand the company to have a notice/ proper explanation to the members who signed up the package as we are the one who worry so much a day before their 'closed for renovation' notice up at the entrance, edwin joseph peter was trying his way to kick all of out without any reason, he asked us no need to come to outlet or office as they are closed for renovation, we know the tricks they want to play is blaming us 'missing in action' if we don't come to work and then sack us, of course, the very next day, we all reach the outlet as usual and the notice was taken photo.
- we told edwin joseph peter and also jason bak that if they don't give proper explanation, we will definitely reveal through the blog because all the customers who signed who have to take the responsibilities. The first person we contacted was Lan Hwa.
- initially they decided just to close and hold the deposit till january, which we worry for the members, that's why then they agreed to pay cheque, then with your blog power, they compromise to refund cash; then they wanted to charge the mat for RM 50, then again, with your blog comments, they compromise to give free, they know the damage will eventually go to their brand name and that's why they compensate everyone with another bottle of serum, which all of us are happy for the members.
- the reason is clear if jason bak decides not to pay our salary and ask us to take legal action against him/etsu wellenss sdn bhd, because we help all out for the members and that's why he's taking this as a punishment to us. first thing first, even you want to terminate/sack/ask us to resign, what is it to do with our previous months salary? he still have to pay us back what we have done.

i coudln't undertstnd what they said ( i belive is either in mandarin or chinese dialects ), but Mr. Jason Bak seemed to be pretty defensive.

My husband is Chinese and we met in London during university time, we never doubt that we can be together despite of different religions ( he was a Christian, now Muslim-Chinese ). Objections from my parents, his parents, our relatives, our friends, almost leaving only two of us in the world still believe in the power of love.
20 years passed and now we have our kids grow up heathily and happily, we celebrate both Hari Raya and Chinese New Year, our parents now become good friends, it's the blessing from God. God always takes care of the people that speak the truth.

i'm speechless, jason. acknowledging a letter is not that difficult, the receipts of the letter doesn't mean the accpetance of the content. your employees have right to demand an explanation for their termination and your sudden decision. i believe you are playing the same old tricks my employer used to do, this is unethical and the damage can be more than what you think if make known to the whole world. think twice, make wise move.

this time is not only the employees get conned, we on behalf of all the contractors/ suppliers/ consultants that set up yogaloft for etsu wellness, would like to declare that mr. jason bak is the one woh appointed us the job and he now twist the facts and then pay all of us,total outstanding amount more than RM 600,000!
it's useless to take the legal action as the company is only with RM2 paid up capital! another director is Alan Yee Pau Seng, also another liar keeps on pushing reposnibilities away! we will not just let go like that!

Im beginning to believe those small scale yoga centres are a better place to learn yoga, less people in the class, teachers have more time to adjust each and every students.Dont need those fancy yoga centres with fancy facilities,aftrall we have to pay for them even if we dont use them,what for?

even if many teachers,
some people tend to attend class and go, some tend to follow some of the teachers, or some are just do for health, so either many or less also people will complain.
UY have more den 10 teachers but people are complaining why XXX not around and XXX not around.
while Loft have only few teacher like Penny, Thomas, Sean, Kamal, Dawid & Zen, but seems every1 is rushing to join it.
Like ojas, Some people joined coz of enjoying the class and how they teach, especially the famous Gilbert is around there.
So why bother complaining either its had more teacher or not ?
in kl, all the teacher who run around are the certain numbers, so there wont be any high difference in expectation.(as long u in kl)

Completely agree, we have to bear in mind that more than 80% of the famous yoga teachers now are from the same establishment previously exist, so, there's just somehow or rather common in a point, unexplanable.
Today everybody becomes victims because yoga practice has been too "commercialized".
Some thought one teaches good, another thought the next one is better while others thought the last one is the best. Way too much competition and tends to forget Yoga can be practiced even at home.
You need not chase.
It is basic guidance that we need, not about handsome or beautiful faces that we need, not about sweet talking or siding that we need, not about bigger or beautiful environment that we need.
You need not to compare.
Afterall small space and a mat is all what we need.
Just join a decent centre, practice
with your heart. You will be much happier.

Dear Everyone, (I really mean to everyone who posted on this Blog)
It had been exactly 1 week I last read and posted here and I find the developments rather remarkable. Teams and gangs starts forming up, old tombs being dug up, renewal of bad blood etc. I really wonder how many of you guys genuinely practise yoga or probably you guys & girls just enjoy the roller coaster ride that the yoga industry provides. I'll leave that to you guys to think about.
My reports while being missing for an entire week:
Firstly, I now verify that the posting did by OMG is true as I did a search with the SSM (curiosity always gets the better of me) and did found out that Etsu Wellness S/B is a RM2 company fully owned by Malaysian Blue MyKad holders, ie, the 2 mentioned individual shareholders cannot be japanese citizens unless they delibrately violate Malaysian Laws (Malaysian citizens are not allowed to hold dual citizenship). Therefore legally Etsu Wellness S/B has nothing to do with Etsu Japan.
Secondly, (thanks to the help of a Japanese friend from an audit company in Japan) Etsu Wellness S/B claims to have their Japanese Operation/HQ/Branch/Production/Factory or whatever you call it to be based in Okinawa Japan. Non of the above exist in Okinawa Japan. If you guys and girls would like to know the truth, do a search for Okinawa Japan and read carefully on the official page as posted by the Japanese Government. Click on "English" of course. Don't need to take my words for it. With the above statement, I seriously doubt where are the so called and branded "etsu japan" products coming from? I remember reading someone posted something about not worrying about the products and about sueing the Japanese HQ, I do wonder how and where to sue a HQ that virtually do not exist.
Thirdly, I saw the video clips on youtube, (/exlofter), my sincere pity towards the staffs involved in the case. My heart goes to you. Judging from the clips alone, (unless edited or customised for specific purpose) my first conclusion is that Jason Bak is in no way any aliance with an international Japanese firm. Reason being is simple enough, Japanese firms will have him well trained to proper Japanese styled situation handling procedures. For those of you who worked with Japanese will fully understand my statement.
Secondly, I would assume a major defamation lawsuit is coming up. Whoever put up the one with the Sam Hui's song had posted all the evidence needed by Jason Bak to launch a full scale defamation lawsuit. However, I must admit I really did enjoy that one.
Thirdly and personally, provided that the clips were never been tamper with, I would choose to believe the postings by "Zen". To all those victimised by Yoga Loft and the incidents that follows, my heartfelt pity to all of you.
However, I always believe in a silverlining. Though the last 2 weeks had only been bad news, I still believe that the yoga industry had done us all a lot of good. Think about it, the PM could order a reversal upon a fatwa, NGOs standing up and revealing how yoga had helped people in different stages of life, individuals from different race and religion join in together to fight for what they believed is right, isn't all these amazing? From conman to hero wannabes, lovers to enemies, isn't it strange how the yoga industry had brought us all together?

What your japanese friend said abt etsu is true. I am in the healthcare line and few years ago when etsu was first launched in msia i asked my lady japanese teacher whether she had heard of etsu in japan and she gave me aconfused look and said she has never heard of it nor seen it in japan.( the free serum is manufactured in msia also )Also another famous japanese toxin remover plaster is also not seen in japan :)It is quite a norm nowadays to have manufacturer claim that their products are from where and where.Another very good example is one of the vitamins brand which they claimed to be from australia but in fact it is not available in australia at all, maybe they just register a company in overseas...
